RBI explains unclaimed deposits as “Balances in savings / current accounts that are not operated for 10 years, or term deposits not claimed within 10 years from the date of maturity are classified as “Unclaimed Deposits”.

Enter details like your mobile number (registered to your bank account(s)), first name, last name
Enter a strong password for your account and fill in the captcha
Accept the terms and conditions and click “Next”
You will receive an OTP on your mobile number. Enter this OTP to verify your mobile number.
Your UDGAM account is created. You can now log in and check for unclaimed deposits.

How to Check Unclaimed Deposits on the RBI UDGAM website or portal?
The UDGAM portal by RBI makes it easy for you to find out if you have any forgotten or unclaimed money lying in old bank accounts. Once you register on the portal, all you need to do is log in and submit a few details to check if you have any unclaimed deposits. No more need to visit bank branches or fill out forms. Just follow these steps to check your unclaimed deposits online on the RBI UDGAM website:
Login to the UDGAM portal with your registered mobile number and password
Next enter details like the account holder’s name, and mobile number linked with your bank account
Select your bank from the dropdown list of banks currently on UDGAM
Authenticate at least one of the identity verification details required such as PAN card, Voter ID, Driving License, Passport Number, and DOB
Carefully enter the captcha code shown.
Click on 'Submit'
You can also add details such as your address (optional)
UDGAM will then fetch and display details of any unclaimed deposits you may have in the selected bank.
